Lady Finger Bananas
Lady Fingers have a lovely sweet flavour and should be eaten when you see small dark brown spots start to appear on the skin. As this variety of banana ripens, the starch in the fruit turns to sugar creating giving the skin the brown marks and turning the fruit into a sweet eating sensation.
Try them in a curry to add sweetness in this savoury dish or spoil yourself by stacking them high on top of your pancakes. You could also try them out with your kids you’ll find they are a perfect for a child-sized snack.
